..Saying that “Thats ______’s style though,” isn’t an excuse for improper anatomy. There is no consistency here. Especially the girl’s anatomy. Her breast’s are at least a head and a half. I mean, the proportions are relatively okay in the upper region, but CLAMP’s just made the legs and arms beyond ridiculous.
I’m not one to measure heads when I draw, because I have a decent understanding of anatomy. But holy hotdogs batman, I looked up cartoon characters that are very styled and they have anatomy that is consistent, despite being cartoons.

Obviously, I put too much thought into this simple comment. But as an artist, this is something that has always frustrated me about other artists. Don’t blame anatomical error on it just being your “style.” I used to really enjoy CLAMP’s artwork, however after Cardcaptor Sakura, it just kinda went downhill. Anyway, that is all :D

Confession: I have a somewhat aggressive dog.
My boy Potato, is a lovely, faithful little dog. Very wary of strangers, always barks when there’s someone unfamiliar in his territory. He used to be really friendly with everyone, but after a couple of incidents where my boyfriend’s mother’s Yorkie, Teddy P., he started becoming more aggressive. Especially toward’s TP.
So they have this new little one, his name is Mousse. I’ve posted him on here before. The little chihuahua-papillion mix. We call him the “Bitey” puppy. He loves biting toes, socks, the other dogs ankles, one of the other chi’s faces. He’s a biter, in the playful sense.
Just about 15 minutes ago, I woke up and I’m trying to let my dogs out and three of my boyfriend’s moms dogs are at my door, sniffing Potato. As his owner, I know everything he really hates. Being sniffed by one dog is pretty bad, let alone three. But he maintains his composure, doesn’t bark, doesn’t growl, doesn’t bite.
However, one of the three that are sniffing him is Mousse. Since Mousse is the newest addition to the pack, Potato is very cautious around him. He’s not too keen on him really, because we try to keep them separate. My boyfriend’s mom seems to think that Potato is going to tear into him, when the only dog he’s ever torn into was TP after getting bitten, but I digress.
So instead of simply sniffing Potato, like the other dogs are, Mousse is chewing his ankles. Potato still doesn’t react, which is wonderful. I simply state to my boyfriend’s brother Tony that, “Mousse is biting Potato’s ankles, he’s going to get himself bit.” I’m saying this for the safety of the other dog. The response I get is pretty much along the lines of: you need to control your dog.
Now tell me if I’m wrong here, but in this scenario, was it my dog that needed to be “controlled?” I mean, I’m always going to be wary of how he’s going to react. I will always closely watch him to see how uncomfortable he is with a situation. I’m always watching for signs of a fight. But, how fair is it to say that to my dog who is just being let out to use the facilities.
Of course I’m like, Mousse needs to not be biting other dogs, yadda yadda. At this point, my boyfriend’s mom’s door swings open and she’s always aggressive about situations and was like, “Why is Potato loose?” She immediately makes my dog the aggressor. I told her that I was just trying to let him and his sister outside, and his sister lagged behind so I had to go get her. I told her how Mousse was biting his ankles and she didn’t even say anything.
All in all, I’m just really posting this as a rant I guess. I just want people to somewhat teach their dogs proper etiquette. It’s not okay for dogs to fight, by any means. But when you have aggressive dogs in the house, if there are newer, younger dogs, they should definitely be trained in ways to avoid hairy situations from popping up.
Blahh.. I need to finish my cereal and go to work.
